The massacre in Jenin is horrific but just the sight of bodies being left on the street because no ambulances/paramedics can get to them since Israel has been blocking them from reaching areas of the refugee camp…yeah there aren’t any words. Literally what can you even say
I think this is a good time as any to remind you that a little goes a long way. I implore you guys to please donate to Palestine. They have been facing hardships and violence at the hands of the Israelis since the occupation of their homeland started in 1948. Innocent people are being robbed of their homes, their lives, their dignity, and are helpless against it all.

Sometimes, Internet Trolls used to be part of the community. Like yeah you never knew when they were spewing bullshit and you were in fact safe to assume they were doing so the vast majority of the time but they were also people who like. Picked communities of no more than a few hundred people on some forum and made a regular hobby of acting like a buffoon on there to trick them via a known persona. Like it was something they did to unwind from work. Relax after school. Kill time on the weekends. And it was a sort of performance art. Something genuine in the bullshit. Now it’s all people who want desperately to be the next Dril making capital p Posts. Or it’s bigots just flaming people they hate. There was plenty of the latter in ye olden days too. But the weeds have choked out the wildflowers.
There was this dude on gamefaqs’ social boards who was a notorious tryhard loser (and I hope the superlativity of an exceptionally loserish user of a gamefaqs social board isn’t lost on you) who would post the lamest shit ever acting like a hardcore party guy. With his real face. He’d talk about doing shots of light beer like he was on a binge. And his threads would hit post limit without fail. He used his real face to draw the outrage out of people. He did it constantly. People knew who he was. It’s a lost art
begging people to understand that there’s a difference between getting into handicrafts as a hobby and being forced to engage in constant busywork for the sake of persistence. yes I’m sure you enjoy weaving. im not sure you’d enjoy it if it was all you did every day to keep a family of fourteen clothed while they work fields. and I’m sure they’d enjoy gardening in their free time too, but after a few years of ploughing stones under the sun, they’d probably also wish they could just buy stuff from a store. cottagecore fantasies aren’t reality, and just because peasants had a better class position than you do doesn’t mean their lives were better than yours are now.
i dont think something needs to be ‘that deep’ for people to analyze it is the thing. obviously there will be people who assert things that are a bit sillay, & not all attempts to interpret something will seem founded by what the source material actually appears to be giving. but its a bit of a downer the perception that trying to find symbols in things or piece together non explicitly stated meaning is solely a pretentious intellectual authoritative exercise only befitting certain deservedly intellectual pieces when really i think its something humans do because its fun. i dont think someone writing a longish post like 'whoa did you guys notice this thing recurring across episodes, heres why i think it’s relevant’ needs to be seen as op’s assertion that the source material is the deepest thing ever. i think sometimes people just connect some dots because its fun. and i bet a lot of even seemingly grounded analysis slides off what the creator meant to convey all the time, but that doesnt mean it cant still be something interesting.
